Turkish Hepato Pancreato Bilier Surgery Association Regional Meeting was Held

Turkish Hepato Pancreato Bilier Surgery Association Regional meeting was hosted by the Medical Faculty of our University.

Governor of Erzincan Ali Arslantaş, Erzincan Mayor Bekir Aksun, our Rector Prof. Dr. Akın Levent, Turkish Hepato Pancreato Bilier Surgery Association President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Balık, Meeting Organization Committee President Prof. Dr. Durkaya ören, various scientists and 50 experts from different regions and institutions attended to the meeting organized in Erzincan Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.

Following the reading of the Nationalist Stance and the National Anthem, the meeting began with the opening speeches of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Dr. Durkaya Ören. In his speech, Chairman Ören pointed out that such congresses contributed to the training of professional groups, and said that this meeting would allow the exchange of credit of our university and medical school and exchange information with other faculties. Oren indicating that the situation of Turkish medicine will compete with the developed world medicine, patients in developed countries is now added to the speech therapy that they were coming to Turkey.

Turkish Hepato Pancreato Bilier Surgery Association President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Balik said in his speech that the Turkish Hepato Pancreato Bilier Surgical Society has a history of nearly 30 years, and many congresses have been held, and that this congress will be instrumental in meeting the colleagues in the field as well as supporting the Binali Yıldırım University in Erzincan. Prof. Dr. Balık said that they would support all young colleagues who would like to study in this field and wished the meeting to be successful.

Our Rector Prof Dr Levent, who stated that they had the chance to lead the world through laparoscopic surgery, transplantation surgery and robotic surgery, expressed their gratitude to the members of the surgical association carrying on studies in this field. Prof. Dr. Levent said:  Today, our friends will share their valuable knowledge in the field of hepatobiliary surgery, transplantation surgery and robotic surgery. We will see when they share the information that Turkey has an important point”.

Erzincan Mayor Bekir Aksu expressed his pleasure for the meeting to be held in Erzincan and wished the meeting to be instrumental in the charity.

Governor Arslantaş finally congratulated the scientists who participated in the meeting for their valuable work and wished that this program would be instrumental for Erzincan, our university and our country.

After the speeches, subjects related to  gallbladder and biliary tract surgery as well as all general surgeons and subjects concerning hepatopancreatobiliary surgeons were discussed.
