Student Visa and Residence Permit
A student visa is required to register as a student in Turkey. Students who come to Turkey without a student visa will not be able to register as a student nor will get a residence permit.
Student visa must be obtained from a Turkish Consulate or Turkish Embassy; it cannot be obtained within Turkey.
The Erasmus Office sends a Letter of Acceptance for visa to international students who are accepted to Erzincan University as an Erasmus exchange student. Once they arrive, all international students in Turkey, regardless of status, must register with, and obtain, a Residence Permit (ikamet tezkeresi) from the Bureau of Foreign Residence Registration (Yabancılar Şube Müdürlüğü) at Erzincan Directorate of Security (Erzincan Emniyet Müdürlüğü) within one month of entering Turkey.
Erasmus exchange students are given residence permits for the period of time they will be studying at Erzincan University as indicated on the student visa. Students can extend their residence permit if they extend their enrollment.
Please apply online for a residence permit through the following link http://yabancilar.iem.gov.tr/randevu.html
Please keep the color printout that is produced at the end of your online application.
The date of appointment arranged through E-Appointment system is considered as the application date; the person will be considered to have applied even than visa period terminates before the appointment date.[/fusion_text][/one_half][one_half last=”yes” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]To apply for Residence Permit, you will need:

The Learning Agreement
This document is an agreement between incoming students and the host institution. Students select the subjects they wish to study in consultation with their academic advisor at their home institution. The draft proposal is then uploaded to the online application. The options the student has selected are then considered by the University of Erzincan on the basis of availability and the candidate’s ability and academic background. A decision is then forwarded to the candidate and, if both sides are in agreement, the document is considered as a contract. However, departments do have the right to withdraw their courses at any time before the study period begins.
The Transcript of Records
This document has two functions. Firstly, it is used by departments to make decisions about a candidate’s suitability based on the information supplied on the transcript of records. The transcript functions as a formalized curriculum vitae or resume. The certificate presented to students upon the completion of their studies in Erzincan is also known as a transcript. It out – lines the courses taken and the grades achieved.
The University of Erzincan offers instruction in the following languages: Turkish and English. The University of Erzincan requires that the student has very good language skills (very good knowledge in reading, writing and speaking of the language) in at least one of the two languages in order to be able to study here. Please note that fluent language skills in Turkish (or English) are vital for successful studies at the University of Erzincan. If the language requirements are not met, the University of Erzincan will not accept you.
Required Language Skills
Students must present a language certificate of their Slovene or English language skills. Very good language skills refer to level B2 on the CEFR scale of the European Language Port – folio Levels.
How to prove the language skills in Turkish or English
Language skills are listed on the Transcript of Records of the home university; or – Submit the Language Certificate with CEFR scale; or – Submit TOEFL score of 79 (IBT) or IELTS score of 6 for English
The Erzincan University does not provide or guarantee accommodation. However, there are some options that you can use to find your own accommodation: – to rent a private room or flat; check the local newspapers and real-estate agencies; – to rent a room managed by student residence halls (very limited number of beds!) The International Office can help you with providing rooms in student residence halls, but due to shortage of rooms we cannot guarantee you that you will really get a bed. All rooms in student residence halls are double rooms. They are furnished and have a shared kitchen and bathroom. We strongly advise our students to book some temporary accommodation for the first few weeks of their stay in Erzincan and then look for a private accommodation.[/fusion_text][/one_full][one_half last=”no” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text]For Female
