Our University’s Fine Arts Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kavukçu called for help from the peak of Erzincan Mount Ergan Winter Sports and Skiing Center against the violence in the world.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kavukçu who aimed referring to technology and science for humanity and human values and calling help for the wars and violence in the world displayed a performance in the peak of Mount Ergan with a drum as a main sound element.
Professor Dr. Mehmet Kavukçu, in his statement about his performance with the sound of drums, messaged “no violence” as a universal call for help with S.O.S signals out to the earth. He stated that he was trying to explain the purity of the human being with white, and violence and pessimism with black color. He mentioned that the violent incidents that aims to turn the viewers into the attackers are perceived as computer games triggering this intense desire of violence, human values, such as domino pieces are continuing to destroy the way he said.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kavukçu thanked to Erzincan Governor Ali Arslantaş and our University’s Rector Prof. Dr. Akın Levent who who did not spare their support for the realization of the study.
